My practice is dedicated to helping people find peace, balance, clarity, wellness, healing, personal & spiritual growth.
I hope this page and my service offers a beacon of light to empaths in this overwhelming world.
Many of us awaken one day to find we simply don’t fit into this materialistic & ego-driven world. That our reactivity, stress & anxiety levels are too high. We have no energy and our relationships, physical, mental & emotional health are suffering under the weight of our responsibilities. Our external & material achievements no longer bring us joy or deep personal satisfaction. Or maybe ill health is forcing us to reconsider our entire life? I’ve been there too.
So I am passionate about helping empaths - everyday men & women - achieve a different way of being. Of uncovering who they truly are, what really matters. To break out of stress, overwhelm & dysfunction and build a life that works. My sessions offer a unique blend of holistic knowledge, intuitive & channeled guidance and combination of energy practices that at a minimum will leave you feeling grounded, expanded and filled with hope for what else is possible for you.
In hindsight, I see the hand of spirit working throughout my young life, however I started life as an unenlightened empath with a great dash of perfectionism thrown in for good measure.
Always competent and intuitively in tune, from a young age I quickly found myself in high responsibility & managerial roles that I thrived on. Work was my life until I met my wonderful husband. So as well as working full time, we of course started our own businesses too. Eventually along came children. I loved my life, thrived on being of service to others, but there was zero time for me.
Then, after a shockingly short illness in 2006, my father passed away. I found myself juggling a huge full time job, 2 businesses and 2 kids under 3 with no time to grieve or process. And all the other unprocessed griefs and hurts I had buried came crushing in.
At breaking point, I found myself walking through the self-help section of the local bookstore. Overwhelmed and not knowing where to even start, I turned to leave – and a small book literally threw itself off the other end of the self onto the floor. I picked it up and read the cover – Learn To Meditate in 5 Minutes A Day. And so I did.
Meditation was a huge part of my healing and growth and I used it for both finding a space of peace and serenity within and later as a tool for goal setting & manifestation healing wounds and other self-development practices. The side effect was quieting that monkey mind, deepening my intuition and connection to spirit.
One day, I had an incredible healing session. I lay on the healing bed and from the other room, the healer whom I had never met before worked her way through my body – I could feel the hot & cold sensations and energy moving as she did – and channeled a full 3 pages of writing about me and my life and what had happened to create the wounds she had cleared. I walked out of there and aches that had been written on those pages never returned. Mind blown! More than that I felt completely seen. An inner knowing that this energy stuff worked.
At that moment, I knew being a healer was part of my future.
I became fascinated (ok, maybe a little obsessed) with learning about many different types of healing practices including all I could about out energy systems and esoteric healing arts. I experimented with everything and tried it on myself and other like minded friends.
In 2018 I was attuned to Usui Reiki 1 & 2 and undertook weekly tuition & practice with my Reiki Master. I also learned to channel. Reiki and the spiritual connection it opened changed my life.
Finally taking a leap of faith, or rather a leap out of the world of the mainstream business, I opened my private holistic practice – Love In Action Reiki & Energy Healing Therapies.
I completed my Reiki Master Teacher attunements and training not just to deepen my own practice, but also to be able to share the life changing gift of Reiki with others. Becoming a Reiki Master Teacher has enabled me to offer both healing sessions and the transformative experience of Reiki Attunements, empowering others to begin or expand their own Reiki journey. My passion lies in guiding and supporting others as they discover the healing, balance, and growth that Reiki and energy healing can bring to their lives - either as a recipient or practitioner.
Always the student, I have received the Usui Master attunements and teachings twice more (3 lineages), and accreditations in various other healing modalities including Isis Seichim Reiki Master, Amara Reiki, Access Bars, Meditation Facilitator & Coach, Crystal Healing Aromatouch and more.
My sessions are a unique combination of intuitively blended reiki and other energy healing practices and channelled and intuitive guidance. In addition to the healing work, in each session I offer holistic knowledge & education and practical tips and training that you can use in your everyday life and in-between sessions.
No one tool heals everything which I why I love having an entire tool bag of practices and information to offer you in my sessions. Some of the other healings I incorporate include breathwork, meditation and guided imagery, crystal and pranic healing techniques, tuning forks & sound, pendulum dowsing, light self hypnosis & guided journeying, inner child work, ho’oponopono & forgiveness practices, trapped emotions release, EFT and more. I also channel guides, Angels and other beings of light to assist in our sessions.
No two sessions are ever the same – even for the same client. They are always enlightening and a wonderful confirmation that there is way more to this world than the 3D limitations we have been taught.
Treatments leave you with a deep sense of peace, calm and revitalisation that is hard to describe if never experienced before. By removing energy blockages within your body and auric field, your energy can flow and rebalance and your body returns to the state where natural healing can occur. More spiritually open people often find themselves the most fantastic journeys during their sessions.
The magick of energy healing has benefits for everyone. I have seen clients completely change their outlook and lives in just one or two sessions. This is particularly true for people who are on their spiritual journey and actively participating on their ‘transformations’. For most of us, it is a more gradual progression.
I am particularly humbled yet elated to see the change from overwhelmed suffering empath to empowered enlightened empath as people start placing appropriate compassionate boundaries in their lives and making decisions that truly serve their greatest and highest good. By healing ourselves, we heal our lineages and those around us as well as the collective consciousness.
I am eternally grateful for discovering Reiki & energy work and the myriad of ways it has benefited myself and my family and assisted me to be of greater service to others. If I had one wish it would probably be discovering this earlier and having someone to mentor me in these arts from a younger age. So I also offer short training courses, Reiki training and personal mentoring, guidance & coaching, that I might light the path for others as others lit the path for me.

You know true healing has occurred when you can look back on your life and know that despite all the hardships, griefs and losses, you would not delete any of your lessons or experiences because you are content and at peace with yourself in the now. You can see the synchronicities and know that each lesson gave you strength, resilience, self confidence and the ability to make good choices.
My life started so far away from what is my purpose today. Is my life perfect? Am I perfect? No. But I feel so much gratitude for having been gifted this amazing life, having found my true calling and being able to truly help others in this unique and meaningful way.
My passion and aspiration is to share the wonders of energy and to shine the light for others - just as others shined the light for me.

"I was blessed to have a 2.5hr very thorough and gentle Reiki with Bars session with Susie. I felt at ease with her presence. Her knowledge of what she does shows in her work. We spoke and I confided my current issues with her and then she was able to tune into my chakras to see where the blockages were coming from. We were both a little surprised at the blockages however once the session started I could definitely feel energy moving from those stuck areas and as it unravelled it all made perfect sense.
