Guided Imagery & Emotional Healing Sessions

Guided Imagery can be a highly effective way of accessing and reprogramming our subconscious.

The tools you use in these sessions, you can use again and again at home to aid you in your healing journey.

By first calming our autonomic nervous system and then using visualisation & imagery, we can access calm and reprogram our body's fear response and our subconscious thoughts, beliefs and programs.

I often use simple breathwork and guided imagery in my Reiki & Energy Healing Sessions as they help to calm your vagus nerve, switch off your flight and flight mechanisms and allow you to deepen into a state of calm relaxation. This is state where the magic happens and we begin to heal.

In a guided imagery session, we go deeper using a variety of imagery techniques and journeys to facilitate deep subconscious healing.

This can create changes in your perception and reaction to our history, past traumatic experiences and present issues that are keeping you stuck and preventing you from moving forward in life.

Examples of this include inner child work, parental or ancestral lineage healing, specific trauma & PTSD release, childhood and past experience re-modelling, forgiveness, trapped emotions release - discussed further below

In every session, I aim to give you some simple take-home practices that will help to keep you grounded and your energy flowing between sessions. These simple methods in everyday practice can help you navigate the stresses of life in a more grounded manner and not be so triggered and reactive.

The recommended length for a specific guided imagery session is 1.5 -2 hours.

This session incorporates Reiki & Chakra alignment prior so you are in a state of deep calm before the imagery session and more Reiki to follow to clear our any residual energies, calm and rebalance your mind and body.

If you are coming to a studio session, an Access Bars session is a highly recommended add on if you have time to clear out mental clutter, though Reiki is capable of doing this also. Book a 2.5 hour session for Reiki+guided imagery+access bars if this is your first session Book Now

The releases and changes in perception that can be gained from these sessions can be instant, profound and highly cathartic.

All sessions are adapted specifically to you but examples of some of the sessions and healing topics & practices follow below.

Physical Health & Wellbeing

Guided imagery can assist with healing physical health and disease issues by harnessing the mind-body connection to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support physiological healing processes.

Immediate responses include lowered heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormone levels, creating a state that supports the body’s natural ability to repair and recover.

Many illnesses have an energetic and emotional basis and healing these aspects can result in rapid physical health improvements.

Research shows guided imagery is effective for managing stress, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain (such as arthritis), reducing the need for pain medication, and even improving mobility.

It is a great complimentary aid to regular medical treatment & procedures including operations & cancer treatments and can aid & improve immune response & healing.

Future Visioning & Goal Setting

Future visioning and goal setting guided imagery sessions are powerful approaches that help you move beyond past limitations, clarify your dreams, imagine your ideal future, set meaningful goals that align with your values and actively shape the life you desire.

This approach taps into the brain’s neural plasticity. Imagining positive future scenarios creates and activates neural pathways similar to those formed by real life experiences. It can create strong emotions & energetic patterning which helps to anchor the desired outcome into our subconscious.

By helping to remove subconscious fears, roadblocks, programming & procrastination that halt us from making forward progress it can boost motivation, confidence, and make way for personal growth and transformation.

Inner Child Healing

Our inner child is the part of our subconscious that holds the memories, emotions, beliefs, and experiences from our earliest years, including infancy, childhood, and adolescence. Even if we cannot remember those years, it remembers everything.

This aspect of ourselves carries both the joys and the wounds of our formative years, shaping how we respond to life as adults. It influences our identity, emotional reactions and relationships and carries the unresolved pain, fear, or unmet needs from our past.

If you have been unable to resolve past issues no matter how hard you have tried, it is likely your inner child is carrying the wounds of past trauma and griefs.

Because much of this is subconscious, healing your inner child is a key step in our healing journey no matter how good we think our childhood was consciously.

Healing Parental Wounds

Parental wounds refer to emotional trauma stemming from unmet needs, neglect, criticism, or dysfunctional dynamics with caregivers during childhood. These wounds - often categorized as the mother wound or father wound -shape self-worth, emotional regulation, and relationships in adulthood.

The mother wound can arise from emotional absence criticism or role reversal - eg the child parenting the mother and can result in low self esteem, fear of abandonment, perfectionism & difficulty setting boundaries.

The father wound often stems from physical or emotional absence, excessive criticism or unreliable support. Signs of this include avoidance of vulnerability, trust issues, overcompensation in relationships.

Both can be activated within your subconscious patterning & belief systems.

Ancestral Lineage Healing

Ancestral healing focuses on addressing and resolving emotional, psychological, and spiritual issues inherited from our ancestors & previous generations. These can be experiences of our direct lineage, but acquired by them from their close associates and social conditioning.

The experiences, traumas, and patterns of our ancestors - whether positive or negative - can be passed down and continue to influence our lives in significant ways, often manifesting as recurring behavioral patterns, emotional responses, or even physical symptoms or PTSD that have no clear origin in our own experiences.

Unhealed wounds, unresolved grief, unhealthy family dynamics, self sabotaging behaviours and other unhelpful or disruptive patterns can be activated within us.

An example of this might be hoarding which can be activated in individuals who have never personally known a time of lack or scarcity.

By healing ourselves, we also prevent these wounds from being carried forwards in future generations.

Collective Unconscious Traumas and Past Life Healing

Carl Jung relates the collective unconscious to a deep layer of the unconscious mind that is shared universally among all humans, containing inherited archetypes and primal images that transcend individual experience.

On a more energetic and intuitive level, we all have access to an energetic consciousness which contains all the thoughts, feelings, emotions, experiences of every person who is alive now and who has every lived.

As spiritual beings we tap into for uploading and downloading subconsciously.

Likewise, our soul can carry the energetic imprint of unresolved past life traumatic experiences.

By identifying these traumas and making the unconscious, conscious, we can begin to recognise, heal and release what doesn’t belong to us.

Trauma & Judgement Release Meditations

We heal more easily & deeply when our body is calm & relaxed. Judgements and physical reactions to about past experiences can prevent us from healing & moving forward.

Guided visualisation can be an effective way of accessing and changing the way we think and feel about our traumatic experiences so we can begin to think about them in a far less triggered and emotional way for conscious healing.

This change can even be achieved without necessarily re-verbalising the experience (which can reactivate our trauma responses).

A range of different methods and journeys including some aspects of time line therapy, re-envisioning & reframing, trapped emotions release, EFT etc can be utilised in these sessions to transmute the physical reactions to the trauma to something softer where true healing can begin.

Forgivness Practices & Learning To Let Go

Forgiveness and the ability to let go are crucial for liberating yourself from the toxic physical, mental, emotional & spiritual effects of past wounds.

Many people see forgiveness as something you do for someone else, but forget that the most important act of forgiveness can be toward yourself.

Forgivness & letting go need to occur on a deep subconscious level for true & full healing to occur.

This is why guided imagery can be a powerful addition to simply consciously thinking about something and deciding to try and forgive or let it go.

This guided journeying can release you from the judgements and mental constructs about right and wrong that keep us locked in unhelpful patterns of belief, allowing you a greater sense of well-being, peace, compassion, and contentment.

Ho' Oponopono

Ho'Oponopno is a wonderful ancient Hawaiian forgiveness technique that has many applications in our lives. Its simple mantra is used to acknowledge and release negative emotions, take responsibility for one's part in any conflict or disharmony, and invite healing energy into the situation.

This practice can be used in many different ways in these sessions including combining with Reiki, Access Bars, EFT, guided imagery and more.

Ho'oponopono can be used to heal relationships, resolve personal and interpersonal problems, and promote self-love and balance. It can cleanse the mind of guilt, shame, and resentment creating feelings of peace, compassion, and well-being.

I highly recommend it in cord cutting and as a forgiveness technique where the desire to forgive is absent or extremely difficult.

So What Session Might Be Best For You?

A guided imagery session can be a done online or in-person. The session includes intuitive healing, chakra & energy balancing to calm the body and help you achieve a deep state of calm prior to the imagery session.

My recommendation for deeper work would be that we have had an initial energy session prior to a deep guided imagery session for trauma release work. This will help you relax more deeply for your session and also to know which session might best suit you.

A simple guided imagery journey can be incorporated into any session - allow 30 minutes extra.

Suggestions for deeper work:

Allow a dedicated 1.5-2.5 hour energy healing & deep imagery session for deeper inner work & trauma clearing.

If in person - consider adding an Access Bars session to your session. (full Bars session takes 1 Hour)

These sessions include time for conversation & intuitive feedback.

If you are new to this work, my recommendation for an in-person session is book a 2 or 2.5 hour Reiki & Access Bars Session or for online 1.5-2 hours as your initial session during which we can discuss what journeys and practices would be best for you.

These may seem like long sessions but trust me - you will be in an altered brainwave state and time will fly!

You can of course book a shorter session if you prefer to have a taste tester before you dive in deeper :)
